Episcopal Relief & Development
ER-D responds to human suffering around the world, providing emergency assistance after disasters, rebuilding communities, and helping children and families climb out of poverty. In 2005, ER-D channeled over $30,000,000 in contributions to relief and development efforts needed after the south Asian tsunami, the most brutal hurricane season ever recorded, and the tragic earthquake in Pakistan, while continuing to support development projects around the world.
ER-D is supported by a very small staff, and has most of its administrative costs funded by the Episcopal Church’s national operating budget, allowing contributions to go as directly as possible to where they are needed.
