Altar Guild
|
| The Altar Guild “sets the table” for God’s Service. In small teams, scheduled monthly, the material preparations for Sunday and Wednesday worship are handled; the women and men of the Altar Guild taking care of and maintaining the linens, polishing brass and silverware, and trimming the candles. All Saints has several “parish bakers,” who prepare fresh communion bread, and another group shares responsibility for arranging the flowers for each service.Others help by caring for vestments and robes. Significant occasions, such as weddings, funerals, baptisms, and special celebrations, are also a part of this ministry. In this service, people form friendships and share their time and talents for the love of our church. |
