Hosts
Each Sunday, you’ll see one or two people curbside in the parking lot, shaking hands, hugging, and greeting friends and guests as they come to worship. This ministry of hospitality is offered to make newcomers to All Saints feel welcome and to help them find their way around the Church and service. The regulars get in on the welcome too!
Ushers
Two other parishioners await worshippers inside the red doors at the later service.
They take their station to make sure there is space ready for everyone in the morning’s congregation, and that a service leaflet is available for everyone. Newcomers Ushers assist newcomers (and a few latecomers!) are helped with seating, as necessary.
During the service, the ushers “pass the plate” for the people’s offering, assist the children who join the congregation mid-service from their “Godly Play” chapel time, and help “direct traffic” during the communion of the people.
After the service, ushers help in tidying up the worship space.
