All Saints Choir & Music Ministries
Most Sundays, the later service is enhanced by the presence of a choir that helps lead in the singing of the day’s hymns, songs, and chants, as well as offering an anthem as the Table is prepared.
The choir is open to anyone who enjoys the beauty of song. No auditions are required, just the willingness to sing God’s praise. People who wish to be a part of the choir gather in the Parish Hall at 10:00 a.m. to warm up and rehearse the morning’s music.
The choir is also a part of major Holy-Day celebrations, such as Easter and Christmas. During the weeks prior to these feasts, special rehearsals are scheduled.
From time to time, the children of All Saints are formed into a choir and “angel band,” as well, learning, and enriching the liturgy with their own gifts of song and “joyful noise.”
All Saints’ Strings and Other Things
A small group of “folk” musicians come together from time to time, with guitars, dulcimers, and other “stringed things” to share songs both old and brand new as part of All Saints worship.
Other musicians are welcome and encouraged to complement the music ministries of the church with keyboards, flutes, violins, cellos, trumpets, drums, pipes, and whatever other musical talents they might have to offer.
The music ministries of All Saints are not confined to worship. Some of the church’s outreach is also carried on with gifts of song and melody, at places like the Bell House, Higher Ground, and Weaver House.
